In summer, prevailing SW winds are warm and moderate
Fog is rare on the Northumberland Strait - very few pleasure vessels
are equipped with radar
Our tides are mixed semi-diurnal - two high, two low per day, range
to 3 feet (1 Meter ) with an average of 2 feet (.67 meters).
Currents are generally weak on the Northumberland Strait, with local
exceptions
