JimNixonCPS 03

Jim has been an active member of the sailing community for many years.  With the PCYC he served on the Board of Directors and represented the Marina on the Board of the Pointe de Chene Harbour Authority.

With CPS, he was a Squadron and District Commander for 8 years.  He served on the National Board as District Commander, Atlantic.   He was the Atlantic Regions representative on the Recreational Boating Committee.    In addition, Jim helped develop the CPS Seamanship Course and instructed various other CPS courses over his long affiliation with them.  Jim will receive his National Award in Charlottetown at the CPS AGM at the end of October.  He very much appreciates the honor and we suspect still has a course or two left in him!

It's here on August 19 !  Able Sail's annual Big Breakfast will be held once again at the Point du Chene Yacht Club.  The Breakfast will be hosted from 9:00am to 11:30am.  We will be serving your traditonal breakfast consisting of eggs, pancakes, variety of meat and more!  Tickets are avaliable at the Shediac Yacht Club main office, or through any staff members and directors.  Feel free to call (506) 533-9750 for more information or to reserve tickets.
